Current

Otter 463 was delivered to the Indian Air Force on 5th October 1966 with serial M-672. It was one of four Otters delivered between August and October 1966, the last Otters delivered by DHC to the Indian Air Force. The four Otters were crated and shipped to India where they were re-assembled and entered service. The Indian Air Force continued to fly the Otter until the type was formally withdrawn from the inventory on 31st March 1991, and the surviving aircraft were offered for sale.

The successful bidders for the Otters were Mike Hackman Aircraft Sales / La Ronge Aviation, who travelled to India to prepare the aircraft to be shipped back to Canada.

M-672 was one of three Otters located at Kanpur Air Base and had 7,715 hours on the airframe. It was one of eight Otters shipped from Calcutta / Kolkata, arriving at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by 30th April 1994. The Otter was registered that month to T.C. Aviation Ltd., of Saskatoon as C-FASZ. After rebuild, it was leased by T.C. Aviation to points North Air Services of Points North Landing, Saskatchewan to whom it was registered in May 1995. The Otter was returned to T.C. Aviation at the end of the summer 2000 season and over the following winter of 2000 / 2001 was converted to a Vazar turbine Otter at Saskatoon. It was then leased to Osprey Wings Ltd, a company associated with T.C. Aviation, of Missinipe, Saskatchewan to whom it was registered on 23rd May 2001. Osprey Wings also operate turbine Otters C-GPHD (113), C-FXRI (258) and C-FDIZ (460).
